WildWooHoo is a creative studio for the animal kingdom - including us. We draw parallels between animal and human societies through music, audiovisuals and educational materials. The brand is built around three visual ideas: a single unified glyph that reads as W, H, and two double-o pairs at once (also a crown, also glasses, one o becomes a musical note); a horizon-cut tile with semicircular pinches at the midline that signals parallel worlds before the eye even reads the mark; and a strict monochrome-at-rest, full-spectrum-at-interaction colour rule. Colour appears only in atmosphere - the chromatic aberration baked into the mark - and in motion - the wordmark's hover shine, the click-burst halo, the radial bloom on share cards.
The mark
One tile, one signal
A black horizon-cut tile with a soft semicircular pinch on each side at its midline. Inside it, a single cream glyph reads as W, H, and two oo pairs at once - read another way, it's a crown; another, a pair of glasses; one of the o's becomes a music note. Embossed in 3D, with a faint chromatic aberration around the stroke edges and a soft halo around the figure. One mark - we collapsed the earlier v4 four-variant set (black / inverted / green / rainbow-rim) into this single primary; the chromatic aberration and embossed surface already carry the full brand palette in trace amounts, so a separate "rainbow" variant duplicated the message.

Black tile, cream unified glyph
The 2048-px master is the canonical file. Used as the favicon, the app icon, the social profile picture, the site's header mark. Renders at any size from 16-px favicon up to print masters at 2048. The horizon-cut silhouette stays visible at every scale.

Cutout · overlay variant
Tile + middle removed, glyph alone
An alpha-cut variant of the primary, with the tile shape removed so just the glow glyph remains. Useful as an overlay on photography or video footage, watermarks where the tile would compete, and decorative use in posters / merch.

The wordmark
WildWooHoo — outlined
Drawn as outlined geometric monoline letters. Every letter shows two parallel hairlines tracing the borders of a thick stroke — interior is transparent so background images read through. The two Ws and the H share the heavy stroke from the monogram; the lowercase i, l, d, o use a lighter stroke. H is drawn at the same visual width as W so the caps read with equal weight.
On the night-savanna surface — glow variant (site default on dark)
On the night-savanna surface — cream / white variant (flat alternate)
The cardinal rule
Never together
The mark and the wordmark are never used in the same composition. The W in the wordmark already plays the role of the mark — pairing them duplicates the message and weakens both. If a context needs "an icon and a name," use the wordmark only. If it needs just an icon (favicon, app tile, profile picture), use the mark only.
Colour palette
Mostly monochrome, rainbow at contact
The website's primary palette is monochrome — cream surface, ink text, the mark in inverted form. Colour appears as the spectrum only at moments of interaction (hover, focus, active state). Below are the core inks and brand accents you'll actually pick from in everyday work.

The spectrum
The rainbow
Sampled pixel-by-pixel from the two reference photos (rainbow-kangaroo at sunset + kangaroo mob in the green savanna). It only ever appears at moments of interaction: hover, focus, active state, the wordmark's signature horizon hairline, the slow ambient cycle on header em words. Never as static decoration.

Typography
Three families, one voice
Three geometric sans-serifs in a strict role assignment. Comfortaa carries every heading (small and big alike); Syne carries the rainbow-highlighted accent words; Inter carries every paragraph and label. Each font owns one job. Nothing else.
Headings · Comfortaa · 700
Animal kingdom, music, social impact.
For every heading on the site, regardless of size — h1 page-band heroes, h2 section heads, h3 sub-heads, the "Work with us" CTA. Comfortaa's circular "o"s mirror the wordmark's WildWooHoo — direct visual rhyme with the brand mark.
Rainbow accent · Syne Italic · 800
social impact
Only used for the one emphasised word inside a Comfortaa heading. Always paired with the brand spectrum gradient — Syne's sharp contemporary character creates a deliberate tension against the rounded Comfortaa base. The rainbow word is the moment of brightness.
Body / UI · Inter · 400 / 500 / 600
Despite all the worlds we have built, biologically we remain part of the animal kingdom. We start in animal behaviour, ecology and evolution and translate it through music, music videos, animation, books, and public performance.
For body copy, navigation, UI labels, lists, captions. Industry-standard screen-optimised geometric sans — neutral, crisp, gets out of the way of the brand's two voice fonts above.
Installing the fonts
All five primary families are free Google Fonts (plus Big Shoulders Display + Libre Baskerville as legacy editorial alternates). For the web, paste this into <head>:
For Keynote / PowerPoint / Pages / Word, download each .ttf from fonts.google.com/specimen/<family-name> and install on your system. All five primary families are pre-loaded in Canva. The brand's body baseline is Inter; if your tool lacks Inter, Montserrat is the historic fallback.
How the mark and the wordmark talk
One body, many readings
They share one principle and one device:
The mark
The whole brand compressed into a single tile. One glyph is W and H and oo, crown and glasses, sometimes a music note. The horizon-cut silhouette signals "parallel worlds meeting" before the eye even reads the figure inside.
The wordmark
The same principle stretched across a word. Two outlined Ws, a heavy H, and four o's - every letter is two parallel hairlines, like a stroke that's been outlined. H is drawn at the same width as W so the caps read with equal weight.
The spectrum
Stays out of both at rest. Appears in atmosphere (the chromatic aberration baked into the mark, the soft halo around small instances) and in motion (the wordmark's hover shine, the click-burst, the radial bloom on the share card). One palette, multiple presences.
The tension
Monochrome at rest, rainbow at contact. Quiet most of the time, alive in the moments of contact. That's the whole brand.

For Canva, Gmail, presentations & sharing
Quick start in every tool
Canva (Pro recommended)
Upload the SVGs (wordmark) and PNGs (monogram) to your Brand Kit → Logos. The wordmark SVGs scale without quality loss; the monogram at 2048 PNG is plenty for any layout. Paste the hex codes from §Colour into your Brand Kit → Colours. All five primary brand fonts (Comfortaa, Syne, Inter, Instrument Serif, Caveat) are in Canva's library — search by name.
Google Slides / Docs
Insert → Image → Upload from computer. Slides accepts SVG since 2023 (Docs prefers PNG). For body text, change theme fonts to Inter (body) + Comfortaa (headings) via the "more fonts" picker. The rainbow accent text effect in this kit is web-only - in Slides, set the accent italic word in Syne with a solid amber (#B07F30) or savanna (#27A05B) fill instead.
Keynote / PowerPoint / Pages / Word
Use the PNG version (these apps don't render SVG with full fidelity). Use the 2048 monogram PNG or 4800 wordmark PNG for highest quality. Install all six font families from Google Fonts on the system first.
Figma
Drop the SVGs into a new file. The mask-based wordmark renders with full outline fidelity. Set up Figma Colour styles using the hex codes from §Colour, and Text styles using the families from §Typography.
Gmail signature
Upload the 1200-wide wordmark PNG to your domain (or any image host). Reference the URL in your Gmail signature image. Recommended max 200px tall on display. Pair with system fonts for body text — custom fonts don't carry across email clients.
Sharing the whole kit
This brand-kit/ directory is self-contained. Zip it (zip -r wildwoohoo-brand-kit.zip brand-kit/) and email or upload to Drive / Dropbox / WeTransfer. Recipients get every file plus the README.md reference doc and this visual page.
Commercial use & trademark
For registering the brand
The mark and the wordmark are two separate intellectual works — register them as separate trademarks for maximum protection.
The mark
Submit monogram-glow.png (the 2048-px master) or monogram-glow.svg (PNG-wrapped). Description: "A square tile with semicircular concave indentations on each side at its vertical midpoint (a 'horizon-cut' tile). The tile is rendered in dark ink. Inside the tile is a unified cream-coloured glyph combining the letters W, H, and two double-o pairs in a single connected outline, with a soft chromatic aberration around the stroke edges." Class 9 (digital / audiovisual goods) and/or Class 41 (entertainment, education services).
The wordmark
Submit wordmark.svg. Description: "The wordmark 'WildWooHoo' rendered in a custom geometric monoline outlined typeface. The capital letters W and H are drawn at equal cap-width and use a heavier stroke than the lowercase i, l, d, o. The interior of each glyph is transparent. A small filled dot sits above the lowercase i." Same classes.
Owner & first use
WildWooHoo is owned by Dr Weliton Menário Costa (Brazilian-Australian behavioural ecologist, PhD ANU). First use of the v5 brand identity: 2026-05-24. Earlier v3 / v4 iterations exist in legacy-brand/ and the project's git history if continuity-of-use needs to be demonstrated.
